Mary B. Aversano is an attorney with significant experience in all aspects of domestic and international trademark law including clearance, prosecution, maintenance, agreements and enforcement on a global basis. Experience with related areas of copyright, domain names, social media, litigation and other contentious matters including TTAB proceedings and UDRP complaints.
She is an MBA - credentialed attorney providing strategic leadership and management to legal teams, coordination of domestic and international legal services. Substantial knowledge and experience in global intellectual property prosecution, maintenance and general business and intellectual property litigation. Experience with leading, motivating and developing legal teams to handle client representatives, business units and global outside counsel of diverse backgrounds and expertise.
Since 1998, active with a global not-for-profit association of trademark owners and professionals, the International Trademark Association (INTA), serving as Co-Chair and Chair of the Brand Names Education Foundation established to encourage the study of trademarks at the college, university and law school level throughout the world, Team Leader for the Trade Dress Image Library Subcommittee and currently, Team Leader for the U.S. Non-Traditional Marks Subcommittee.
